3D Model of Myself - 2019

One of the first exercises I had to complete on my MSc Digital Effects course was a 3D model of myself that I later had to rig and animate.

This was the first time I had ever used any kind of VFX software so it took a lot of hardwork and patience to get the hang of it!

I used Autodesk Mudbox to sculpt and mould the model of myself using reference images and also used these reference images to texture my model in Mudbox.

I then exported the model to Maya where I used a TSM3 rig to create the skeleton of my model which allowed me to animate it and make it move.

I then animated my model to complete a short walking cycle using keyframes over just a short amount of frames and then repeated this cycle infinitely to save time rather than keyframing hundreds of frames.
