CYBERPUNK CITY - MSC DIGITAL VISUAL EFFECTS FINAL PROJECT BREAKDOWN pt. 1

This video shows the complete breakdown of the first shot from my Master's Final Project. For this project I had to use everything I had learned and the experience I had gained on the course to create a short video.

This project allowed me to manage the whole process of creating a scene; from the seed of an idea to the blossoming of the final composition.

I created a pre-visualisation to help me map out a composition and to get a general theme and mood of the scene. I was also able to play around with the cinematography of the shot to see which camera angles and soundtrack worked best.

I wanted to showcase as many compositing skills as possible as this is the career path I would like to pursue. This scene demonstrates my ability to create a clean plate, convert footage (that I shot myself) from day to night, grade, colour correct, key, composite digital 3D models and rotoscoping.
